RSVP & Invitations

When and where is the wedding?

Matthew and Christine’s wedding will take place on August 14, 2027, in Estacada, Oregon. The ceremony begins at 5:00 PM. We ask guests to arrive at 4:00 PM to enjoy cocktail hour and give everyone plenty of time to get settled before the ceremony.

Where exactly are we getting married?

Our wedding will take place in beautiful Estacada, Oregon on August 14, 2027. We’re keeping the exact venue details with our confirmed guests, so once you submit your RSVP, we’ll share everything you need to know for the day. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

When will formal invitations be sent?

Formal invitations are planned to be sent beginning May 1, 2027. Your invitation will include your unique RSVP code and instructions for responding online.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please submit your RSVP by June 19, 2027. We encourage you to respond as soon as you know whether you’ll be able to join us.

How do I RSVP?

Visit the RSVP page and enter the unique invitation code included with your formal invitation. Your invitation code will bring up the names of everyone included with your invitation. From there, you can let us know who will be attending and provide any requested meal or dietary information.

Can I change my RSVP after submitting it?

Yes. You can update your response until the RSVP deadline. Return to the RSVP page and enter your invitation code again, or use the update link included in your RSVP confirmation email.

What if I lose my RSVP code or have trouble with the RSVP form?

Please email [email protected] and we’ll help you get everything sorted out.

Can I bring a plus-one?

We wish we could celebrate with everyone! Because of our venue capacity, we kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend. If your invitation includes an additional guest, that will be clearly indicated when you access your RSVP.

Are children invited?

Children are invited only when they are specifically included on the invitation. If a child is included with your invitation, their name will appear with the other invited guests when you enter your RSVP code.

What if I miss the RSVP deadline?

Please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected]. We’ll do our best to help, but once final guest counts, seating, and meal arrangements have been submitted, we may not be able to accommodate late additions or changes.

Do I need to bring my invitation or RSVP code to the wedding?

No. You do not need to bring a physical invitation, RSVP code, ticket, or other proof of attendance. We will already have the confirmed guest list.

Wedding Day

What should I wear?

The dress code is semi-formal to formal attire. The venue includes a mix of green grass, compacted dirt, stone, and concrete, so please choose footwear that will be comfortable and practical for an outdoor setting.

Is the wedding outdoors?

Yes. The ceremony and reception will both take place outdoors. There is partial tree cover around the dinner area and a small indoor walkthrough area for food and drinks. Guests should plan for the celebration itself to remain outdoors.

Should I bring a jacket?

Yes. Evenings can cool down after sunset, so we recommend bringing a light overcoat, jacket, or other top layer for later in the evening.

Will we be in direct sunlight?

Partially. The ceremony begins at 5:00 PM, and sunset is around 8:30 PM. Guests should be prepared for some lower-angle direct sunlight during portions of the ceremony and reception.

What happens if it rains?

August is usually a dry time of year in Oregon, but Oregon weather can always surprise us. Because the wedding is outdoors, we recommend bringing a rain jacket or light waterproof layer if there is any chance of rain in the forecast.

Will I need bug spray?

We do not expect bug spray to be necessary.

Is there indoor space?

There is a small indoor area used primarily as a walk-through space for food and drinks. The wedding itself is an outdoor event.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

The venue itself is wheelchair accessible. Please be aware that the restroom trailers require guests to use stairs to enter. If this presents an accessibility concern, please contact [email protected] before the wedding.

What restroom facilities are available?

There will be two fully stocked restroom trailers available throughout the wedding. Please note that the restroom trailers require stairs to enter.

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

We are having an unplugged ceremony. We kindly ask that phones, cameras, and other personal recording devices remain put away during the ceremony. We have professional photographers and videographers capturing the day for us, which lets everyone be fully present in the moment. Professional photographs from the wedding will be shared on this website after the wedding.

Can I post about the wedding on social media?

Yes, but please wait until after the ceremony has concluded before posting photos, videos, or other wedding content to social media.

Will food be served?

Yes. Dinner will be served during the reception. We are still finalizing the menu and dinner timing.

What if I have an allergy or dietary restriction?

You’ll be able to provide allergies and dietary restrictions when completing your RSVP. Changes submitted on or before June 19, 2027 can be guaranteed to be included in our final planning. We may be able to accommodate changes after the deadline in some circumstances, but we cannot guarantee them.

Will alcohol be served?

Yes. Alcohol will be hosted by us, so guests will not need to purchase their drinks. We’ll also have a few signature drinks available. Guests who intend to drink must bring valid identification.

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

No. The venue has a strict no-smoking and no-vaping policy anywhere on the property.

Can I bring my pet?

No pets are permitted at the wedding or venue.

Will there be assigned seating?

Yes. The dinner reception will have assigned seating. Your seating assignment will be available at the reception.

What time will the reception end?

The reception will conclude Approximately 9:30–10:00 PM. Everyone must be off the property by 10:00 PM, so please plan your transportation accordingly.

Is there an after-party?

There is no general-attendance after-party planned following the reception.

Do you have a wedding registry?

We will not have a traditional wedding registry. For anyone who would like to give a gift, we plan to have a honeymoon fund to help us celebrate with a trip to rural Japan. Gifts are never expected.

Travel & Accommodations

Is parking available?

Yes. There is plenty of on-site parking. Additional arrival and parking details will be provided to confirmed guests along with the exact venue information.

Is there cell service at the venue?

Cell service is generally sufficient for calls and text messages. Service on the drive can become spotty and may disappear for a mile or two. Please preload your GPS route before leaving. Confirmed guests will receive more travel information with their venue details.

Will transportation or a shuttle be provided?

No. Transportation to and from the wedding will not be provided. Guests should plan to drive, carpool, or make their own transportation arrangements.

Can I rely on Uber or Lyft?

We do not recommend relying on Uber or Lyft as the primary transportation plan. Availability in the Estacada area, especially later at night, may be limited or unavailable.

What should I plan if I intend to drink?

Guests who plan to drink should arrange a designated driver or reliable transportation plan in advance. Do not assume rideshare service will be available at the end of the night.

Do I need identification to order alcohol?

Yes. Please bring valid identification if you intend to drink.

Where should out-of-town guests stay?

We recommend looking in the Oregon City / Clackamas area, approximately 30–40 minutes away. Hotel recommendations will be added here as they are finalized. Recommendations are not reserved room blocks.
